The Year 6 Leadership Team consists of twelve students:

  • 2 School Captains
  • 2 School Vice Captains
  • 12 House Colour Captains (White, Gold, Purple & Teal)

St Ambrose Catholic Primary School Student Representative Council (SRC).

What is an SRC?

SRC is a student-based team designed to help promote school spirit and leadership among students. Students participating in the SRC must maintain a high standard of personal conduct and demonstrate leadership qualities through their words and actions.

Each Year 3-6 class selects two representatives to be part of the Primary SRC each semester. Ideas, suggestions and requests for changes to the school can be made by the SRC. It is the duty of the SRC to serve the student body by seeking input from their class members and to report back following meetings. The SRC meetings will be chaired by the Year 6 School Captains with members of the leadership team present. Meetings will be held twice a term to discuss issues relevant to the school. The council does not have the power to change policies, only to voice student opinion.

The purpose of SRC is to:

  • practice citizenship and to serve the common good
  • maintain open communication and build relationships between students and school staff
  • provide a forum for student voice
  • make a positive impact on the school and community environment.
