We hope to see many St Ambrose families at this Mass celebration.
At this Mass celebration staff from St Ambrose will be attending to                      the ministry duties and there will be children’s liturgy.

REMINDER

STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAYS
Thursday 10th November - Wk 5 Term 4
Friday 11th November - Wk 5 Term 4

As previously mentioned the Catholic Schools Office recently informed all schools that we will need to conduct a Staff Development Day so as to ensure the full implementation of the new K-2 English Syllabus next year. This must be conducted post Week 5 Term 4.- as this is when the course contents will be made available. The school had already set aside a Staff Development Day for the 11th November. Whilst not ideal in having an additional Staff Development so late in the year, I have spoken to a number of families in trying to determine when is the best time to have it. It would seem that having it on the Thursday prior to the existing Staff Development Day was the best option. This will now mean that the school will be conducting Staff Development Days (pupil Free) on Thursday 10th Nov and Friday 11th Nov. I apologise for any inconvenience, I have informed our Before & After School Care provider - "Little Grommets" and they will be taking students on the day.

Maths Olympiad 2022

This year, Stage 3 students were selected to participate in the Australasian Problem Solving Mathematical Olympiad for 2022. This competition ran all year and involved students participating in both individual and group Mathematics problem solving tasks. As a result, we had some students that received special awards for their outstanding performance: Nicholas  (top 10%) and Olive  (top 25%) of all students who participated Australia wide. Ella and Daisy also received an encouragement award for their involvement and dedication to the program. Congratulations!

FRIENDLY REMINDER

This is a reminder that all representative sport is sent out via Compass for students to nominate to be eligible to play. It is important that you provide consent for your child before the cut off date. 

Casuarina Rugby Cup

On Wednesday two teams from St Ambrose competed in the Rugby Union Gala Day - the Casuarina Cup
Both teams (Senior and Junior) played with enormous spirit and enthusiasm.
Our Junior team  played very well narrowly missing the final!
Most importantly all players got to enjoy the “beautiful” game of Rugby!!!
A big thanks to Mr Cutler and Mr McDonald who coached on the day and to all the parents & friends who came along and supported the teams. 

Tweed League Seven-a-Side

We would like to wish all our students competing in the Tweed League Seven-a-side Gala Day on Tuesday the best of luck. Mr Lubans and Mr Townsend have worked hard to select our teams and will be working with students on the day. Students will also have a training session on Monday during lunchtime.
